Mr. Collin M. Marangu is an experienced agricultural professional who holds a Master’s Degree in Agriculture and Rural Development, Kenya Methodist University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture from Egerton University.
He has significant experience having served as the District Agricultural Officer in Meru, Nyeri & Isiolo, ASDSP Cordinator in Tharaka Nithi County, Director Plant Protection & Food Safety and Agriculture Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Production. He has undergone trainings on Fruit Production, Strategic Leadership, Geographical Information Systems, Data Management, Food Safety and Economic Governance.
Mr. Marangu is a team player with excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. His key achievements include introduction of new fruit varieties among farmers, development of the e-voucher system for input subsidy management and management of desert locust invasion in 28 counties. His passion is to contribute to the development of a food secure and prosperous nation.
