GLOBALG.A.P Tour Stop 2023


 

GLOBALG.A.P in partnership with local partners organizes Tour Stop Conferences which provide excellent platforms to create awareness of food safety standards for different value chains.

The Tour Stops also provide a forum for actors along the value chains to engage on pertinent issues to enhance marketing of their food products. Next year, GLOBALG.A.P in partnership with Rootooba www.rootooba.com is organizing the Crop Tour Stop conference to be held on 28th-30th March 2023 in Nairobi, Kenya.

The aim of the Tour Stop is to raise awareness on the key food safety issues along crop value chains and how to meet safety standards of products to ease penetration into the markets thus boosting overall business performance. Through the initiative, pertinent issues in the East African region with potential to facilitate viable, safe trade will be highlighted.

Rootooba is an agricultural based technical support provider and is approved GLOBALG.A.P. Registered Trainer. In 2019, it partnered with GLOBALG.A.P to hold the 1st successful Crops Tour Stop in Kenya, which was hosted at KALRO Headquarters.

Agenda- 3 Days


 

DayEvent
Day 1Keynote presentations to be delivered by global experts and will be open to all conference participants.
Topical issues regarding crops scopes will be addressed in the afternoon sessions through break outs that will be structured around each scope, e.g. fruits and vegetables.
Day 2There will be panel discussions by experts, regulators and policy makers and investors, and a special question and answer session with Kenyan regulators. Running concurrently will be exhibitions from various value chain actors, who support the crops sector.
Day 3Tour site visits to crops enterprises with a proven record of embracing production and handling operations compliant with GLOBALG.A.P. farm assurance solutions.

Exhibitor

The standard booth will be 3m by 3m in size, and will come with a power source, one dressed table, and two dressed chairs. The dressing will be basic to provide exhibitors an opportunity to brand in their preferred styles/colors. A meter board to display the company name will be provided.
