Mr Josiah Syanda, is a phytosanitary expert currently working at the Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service as Deputy Director in charge of JomoKenyatta International Airport and the South Eastern Region which includes Kiambu, Kajiado, Makueni, Machakos and Kitui Counties. Mr Syanda has over 25-years’ experience in phytosanitary field including application and implementation of phytosanitary measures, training and capacity building on plant health applications, setting up Phytosanitary systems, undertaking business process analysis, trade facilitation, ICT applications, Phytosanitary policy frameworks for local and international trade of plants and plant products. Mr. Syanda currently a member of the ePhyto Steering Group (ESG) representing the African Region.
