23-25 SEPTEMBER 2025
About the Tour

ABOUT GLOBALG.A.P. TOURSTOP

The GLOBALG.A.P. TOURSTOPs are dynamic annual events that bring stakeholders from across the agricultural landscape together to promote safer and more sustainable farming practices. These collaborative gatherings serve as a vibrant forum for dialogue, innovation, and practical solutions. In 2025, Kenya will host a three-day TOUR STOP from 23-25 September spotlighting food safety, smart farm assurance tools, and the pivotal role of the National Technical Working Group (NTWG) in guiding agricultural development. Participants will explore new market opportunities shaped by global frameworks such as the Economic Partnerships Agreement (EPA). New to this year’s agenda is a focus on Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) for Aquaculture—an effort to build regional capacity, support local fisherfolk, and strengthen compliance with rigorous market standards.

About the Tour

Tourstop Structure

These thought-provoking sessions will open each of the two days dialogue with renowned experts and leaders from the agriculture and aquaculture sectors. Designed to inspire, keynotes will address food safety, sustainable farming innovations, regulatory trends, and the broader role of smart farm assurance. Interactive segments will follow, encouraging dialogue between presenters and participants with a focus on crops (fruits & vegetables) and aquaculture systems. Highlights:

  • Global trends in certification and traceability
  • Opportunities within frameworks like the EU Green Deal & EPA
  • Addressing compliance gaps in local aquaculture

These topic-focused sessions create space for deeper conversations and technical knowledge sharing. Tracks will be organized around priority scopes such as fruits & vegetables, aquaculture, and capacity development, giving room for peer learning and problem-solving.   What to Expect:

  • Practical approaches to certification challenges
  • Insights into tools for smallholder support and smart assurance
  • Case studies from value chain actors

Each day will host dynamic panels featuring regulators, policymakers, certifiers, private sector leaders, and civil society voices. These panels will explore challenges and potential solutions for standard implementation, financing certification, market linkages, and inclusive value chains.   Interactive Components:

  • Live Q&A with panelists
  • Stakeholder dialogues addressing policy alignment and market access
  • Youth and gender inclusion in certification pathways

Running throughout the three days, the exhibition area will spotlight innovations, services, and products from across the agricultural value chain—from farm inputs and technology providers to exporters, certifiers, and aggregators. Participant Benefits:

  • Discover latest tools and solutions supporting compliance
  • Networking with exporters, buyers, and developers
  • Practical demonstrations of technology in certification systems

The final day will offer optional tours to selected farms and enterprises showcasing best practices in GLOBALG.A.P.-compliant production and post-harvest handling. Visits will include operations in crops and aquaculture, giving attendees a firsthand look at how standards are applied from farm to logistics. Tour Features:

  • Interactive walk-throughs with host farmers and facility managers
  • Demonstrations of on-farm risk assessments and traceability systems
  • Exchange of lessons learned between field practitioners and visitors
